He he, we all do this. In a pressure situation, we start relying on mechanical safety much. Ranjeet, Mack The Knife, you have trained yourself very well. Good to see :)

GREAT EXPERIENCE:

I must thank IFG for giving me this much needed break. Although I came last Mack The Knife has confirmed to me that I need not change my name to "KANIA".

It was a great experience overall, must thank pran for the framland and coffee, Mack The Knife for organising the great (I should say professional) targets.. and running with each shooter taking photos (He did ten rounds of the whole area - including the first round while fixing the targets on the range, GG and Ranjit for the ride and ofcourse Mo for the non-stop cometary...

Great Sunday afternoon is what I can say.

P.S.: This was my homework for the next time.

Regards,

Diskaon.

Someone please describe the course. I'm sure you all were shooting at diesel drums and calling them cans, since everyone knows that everything is bigger in Texas...hey, just read the wasi fishing stories :-)

Me jealous naah why would you say that!

  Hmmm, seems like you guys had too much fun. That's not a very good thing. And you also made Rusty run around lugging those empty barrels/drums (surely he lost some weight) you cheap sods you .

Jokes apart
A weekend well spent, nice pictures. Kudos to Rusty and and the Bangalore Beauties , henceforth known as the BB's  for making this happen. Can't wait for the vids now.

The course was around 1.5 acres of erstwhile paddy field. it was split in two sections, the first being around 2 ft higher than the second. We had ten shooting points and ten targets at distances ranging from 10 yards to 30 yards. The targets were mainly beer cans (KF - 330 ml, as well as KF draught 0.5 l) there was also one Orbit Chewing gum bottle (2.5" ht with dia of 1.5") (I got that one!!! :-) ) Target no 10 was a used 12 bore shell at about 20 yards (to seperate the men from the boys)

we started from target one shooting point, went through the whole course (roughly a circle with some staggering layout in the way - especially target no. 7 and 8 which most of us spent time searching)

Rules were simple. You load only after reaching the next shooting point, all shots were taken in the standing position - even though Mack The Knife wanted us to have standing, prone, sleeping, crawing, jumping and rollingposition too.. Luckily there was some grass all over and we BBs got spared!!!

initial though was to have 7 min for the course but GG found that to be too easy and it was reduced to 5 mins. All of us finished with 5 mins though.

We had a timer (Mo) checking the time, We had Mack The Knife running with the shooter taking the pics you all have seen, also score keeper and ofcourse one person to put back the cans on target after each shot. (During my turn, the guy doing that got lots of rest though!!)

In short.. we had a good fair and very enjoyable round...

Regards,

Poonacha

Bangalore Can Busters sounds better!

Rusty thanks for organising the event, I had a blast.

Pran, thanks for letting us use your place.

Thanks to everyone else for all the fun and camaraderie :-)

I'm glad I got to try out my spanking new walnut stocked TX200 HC.

The first of the videos has been uploaded and shows Rusty in action. More videos will follow tomorrow. If you have a high speed internet connection click on the "watch in high quality" link right below the video.

Thanks for the video, it looks like a load of fun. And just watching the Lord of--------------run was reward enough. Very well organised shoot, we must copy it.
Rusty your rifle is really sweet sounding. Very good show.
