I have found a road transport agency who is willing to carry the powerlets. Please confirm the quantity again as I will only do this once.

Abhijeet, are you okay with 50 powerlets or would you like to increase or decrease the quantity?

BTW, the powerlets will have to be picked up from the transport company's Delhi office.

Try GATI,most Arms dealers use them.They will be a lot quicker than a trucker.

Sanjay, I used to use DTDC Logistics (non-operational since 2003 or so) and GATI but they now insist on a police clearance certificate and I would prefer to avoid that headache. The owner of the road transport agency is known to me and a very dear friend of Asif's brother Arif, so there should be nothing to worry about.

Abhijeet, it will need to be a DD but send it at your convenience and only when I tell you. I am presently waiting for Sharad to confirm how many he wants before speaking to the gunshop owner. Right now the only 'trouble' I have been put to is speaking on the phone.

Just to keep you chaps informed, I called the shop and ordered a 100 powerlets because last time he had told me that if I pick up 100, it will cost Rs.140.00 per powerlet. However, he now denies saying that, so I have told him to think it over and call me in an hour. Will keep you informed.

Hello Guys,
This is about the air pistol which was supposed to be in my hands right now..It has been detained at FPO for being supposedly undervalued ... The fed Ex people have sent me a series of mails since the last couple of days ,with various documentation demands: from authority letters to internet valuation of the product,end user letter, etc etc. Sent them whatever they wanted but today they came the best part. They say "We need to have the import license for importing the goods from your end." for us to get the shipment released. At this point of time i kind of lost it(as in my 1st mail to them i had specifically mentioned that no import licence is required for personal use). I told them in no uncertain terms that they are not upto the job and i'll be forced to go and get it done myself. Having said it i am kind of worried, what if i am actually required to go down to the FPO in person! I know about the documents to be carried from previous posts on this forum, however extra Gyan is always welcome. So fellow members kindly some advise... eg. anyone there i can go directly to ,what time to reach there by etc ..

A Fed Ex parcel going through the FPO is news to me.

I may be able to source the CO2 capsules for Rs.120.00 each from a Bombay party. He is currently out of phone coverage area but I will try him again tonight. Will keep you'll informed.

@ Mack The Knife sir ,Actually i have not been told by the Fed Ex people that it is detained at FPO ,i just assumed that as everthing usually goes through FPO must be a problem there. Will certainly ask the contact person if this is the case. BTW Was i right in telling them about the import licence thing sir? I am still on for the powerlets though ..
@ sankar , no use of getting flustered here i guess,would just keep on calling up and pestering Fed Ex till they give me an alternative route.
