Now why do I get the impression that you only posted those links so that you could use that pun?

BTW, Why recurve, why not long bow. I like the simplicity of the long bow.

I am not hell bent on a recurve. It's just that most of the take-down bows I have come across on the net have been recurves. If I can get the sort of bow I had as a kid, I wouldn't even be interested in a take-down or imported bow.

I have a copy of the first Robin Hood made I think in 1918, apart from a collection of over 400 oldies.. Mostly black and white, but amazing stuff

Now that you mention it, I am not sure if it was Fairbaks or Flynn we used to watch on the tele.

Yes, please do keep a look out for a good bow. As a kid my prized possesions were my air-rifle, the bow and three arrows, my bicycle and my ink stained Indian army knapsack that did duty as my school bag.

If you mean the The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), then it was indeed Errol Flynn

Fairbanks starred in Robin Hood (1920s), which is what I mentioned that I have...

well there you go mate, two good actor in robin hood mode. As long as we do not have rusty hood from bangowood, we can breath easy for a while.
