Freemasons out here

Posts that don't fit into any other category. If it's anything to do with guns, it probably doesn't belong here!

Freemasonry has been around, in India, for a long time.

My father is one.

Disclosing ones masonic status isn't a big deal, as far as I know.

About freemasons,
They started off somewhere in the Scotland region,
The King out there was very evil. so a group of people who were eminent builders got together & met secretly to discuss how to supress the evils done by the king.
There was death penalty imposed on anybody who tried anything against the King. Hence the secrecy

They even have their signs & handshakes through which a FM can detect another without speaking or anybody else knowing about it.

The main theme of freemasonry is Brotherhood.

This is the worlds oldest org. & still run the way it was in the ancient times.

All members, be it a labourer, or the President of the USA if a FM are equal & will come forward to help the other if in distress.

Almost all highly educated. People of high status & so on are generally freemasons.

When I built my house, there was one laborer who was a localite and would drop in the construction site whenever he had time. I had 'released' two very young boys from child labor and had sent them back to their village. So, this labor hand had some respect for me, and would drop in, sometimes doing all odd jobs at the construction place.
he would never accept any money from me saying that me moving into heir area was good enough for them.
He was a mason and worked free. He is one Free-Mason I know :)

There is a free mason lodge in Bangalore. It is in one of the roads that links up to MG road (primrose i guess).

FreeMasons arrived in India with the East India Company setting its foot here. You can see Free Mason Lodges in mostly all cities where British Cantonments were established. There is one in even a small city like Jabalpur in MP.
