Never been checked but I always carry my license in the glovebox of my car.

Used to get a lot of vehicular trauma, brachial artery accidents by over enthusiastic juniors (burns ward)etc. Just small peripheral stuff.
Regards,
Yaj.

Re: Items I Carry Picture
Adding to the 'Items I Carry' list is my latest addition. A small flashlight that will accompany my Swiss Army Knife on my belt. As an EDC this is a far more sensible option compared to relatively larger pocket or holstered flashlights.
Herewith a few pics that should give you an idea of scale.
In case you wish to get one, also consider the AAA and AA options as your running cost will be lower and the light would still be small enough to carry without getting in the way. Also please clean it from inside, especially the threads, as this one was full of swarf. A clean and a bit of lubing (Feinwerkbau Special Grease) has made this far more smoother to use. The head needs to be twisted to turn the light on and off.
In case you are wondering how bright it is, it gives out a constant 90 lumens (at the emitter) for 2.5 hours. Personally, I would have been happier still if it had 1/3 the brightness and three times the runtime.
The only major drawback is the price. At Rs.1,950.00 it isn't cheap but if it lasts for years and I have a feeling it may, then it is worth it considering you will never be without a light when you require one at those unexpected moments.
Be warned that the holster does not have a flap on top and it may just be possible to loose the flashlight if it slips out.

The light comes with a lobster claw clip which can be used to attach the light to the D-ring on the holster to prevent loss. The same clip can also be used to attach the light to a key bunch for use as a keychain light.Mack The Knife Bana";p="51961 wrote:

Excellent piece, congrats .
Just a suggestion, can't this holster can be re-made to accommodate a velcro flap (by a half-decent tailor who works on bag-straps and stuff). The same buckle can be re-used on the new one.

I tried that this morning GG but it's a fiddly (read tight) operation but it only struck me now that it could be easily remedied by filing off a bit from the top part of the D-ring.
Will let you'll know if that works.
Edit: Tried it again with the lobster claw and without filing the rebated part of the D-ring and it works. It will take a few tries before one get's the hang of it.
That's the light secured then and I wont have to worry about it popping out and making someone a free gift.

Duh huh..
I'd like to say I carry this to work every day.. But I really dont! As a matter of fact I am too chicken to carry it where I need it most! I am doing some development work in an area close to the border in Mizoram that is teeming with all sorts of rebels from across the border and they carry Ak's, G3's, Uzi's, M-16's and grenade launchers! to name a few that I can recognise.
Wonder if any other member has had to face such a paradoxical situation?? i.e. The very tool that you want to rely on to make you safe could turnout to be a tool that makes you a target and unsafe?? I think a nice smile and a prayer are a much better protection in 'real life' situations..
