Yes, so long as they follow the rules!

It should hopefully lead to better business ethics as they can be rated openly (on the forum) by customers in terms of how good/ bad they were to deal with, which should keep unscrupulous people from getting any repeat business and reward the honest dealers with more referrals.

Cheers!

YES, they must, it would be a wonderful thing
but they should have ;-

a) A Dealers tag & a different Icon showing them as proffesional dealers. I think their shop name should be their user name.

b) Pay the ADMIN of this site, a yearly fees which can be contributed for maintanance & upgrading.

c) They will posts with pictures of the product they wish to sell.

I think the ADMINISTRATOR will have to get permission from the authoroties for selling firearms & ammo on the web.

Hoping for the best

Why not as long as they follow the rules and quote reasonable prices.

And of course, a little discount for IFG members

Yes I Agree
The Dealers can have their own Price Fixing, But it should be in multiplication and not exponential for Normal Goods .

At IFG dealer participation has always been encouraged, and quite a few dealers incl a few collectors
do check in from time to time.

'Couple' is the same as 'two'!

In addition to lessons in minding your own business, you need ones on English and Grammer as well!

rip also means rest in peace, and you need to do that!

Peace!

I'm more than a little bored with the way you gents are going on and on about this... cheap shots and all :P

Either insult each other in a way that is amusing for the rest of us, or please end this nonsense - it's getting to be tiresome...

I am against this idea but we already have this process in place via posting in sale section.

What we dont have is a very specific information checklist for accessing the gun on sale and then there is the contentious issue of determining reasonable price for a gun. Latter is challenging because guns in India are treated as investments and prices are dependent upon demand and supply situation.

Dealer has to make a profit but most of us ( including me) on this board find that unpalatable and incessantly fret about spiraling gun costs for old artifacts? So why should this board facilitate such business especially with conflicting interests?

Also what added benefit does this bring to IFG except we do get to see some interesting guns? On the contrary umpteen times we have to act as arbitrators to sort out acrimonious issues leading out of such posts.

Do we need to add a rule - "Dealers should accept all fair comments on the pricing issue". Maybe this should be applicable for all those who sell on the forum - dealers or not. :)
