I did'nt get to see the event on Tv but maybe some of the other members can post their comments as to what may have gone wrong. After all India was banking on him as more than a "hopeful"

Yeh ! hope were high, that was reason for immense pressure on him, also heard on TV that he adopted new style of shooting Left ~ Right ( earlier he was Right ~ left ) he coudn't mastered in new style. Have a look at some footage from his body language one can see low sprit.
