Wish you a quick recovery brother. Please be careful with the doctors you go to so are only money minded, and take the patients for a ride. Go to a doctor you know, someone like Asif(eljefe) would be of gret help. Check with him.

Regards.

Badshah,

A friend had a similar problem some years back, he was recommended surgery by all but then he visited a doctor at the Spinal Injury Institute in Vasant Kunj (New Delhi) and one of the doctor's there cured him using only physiotherapy. Not a doctor so cannot comment on your case, but do keep surgery as the last option (if possible).

Hope you recover soon buddy!

Cheers!

Badshah,

we had similar problems in my family. there is a person i know who follows something called vacuum therapy. his name is Jani Bhai 9820047491. He is based in bombay. he is not a doctor, but has treated slip discs within a few sessions(i have personal experience ). do give him a call if u wish to.

wishing u a speedy recovery.

my 2 cents :

whatever alternative therapy you try it would just prolong your illness and will keep you out of action.

pain killers and calcium supplements which the doctors prescribe would have very little effect on the final outcome

best option is to consult 2 senior orthopedic/spinal surgeons .

sooner or later you have to go under the knife better the earlier as at least you will recover faster and will on your feet within a short period of time.

Sorry to know,Badsha.I know it's painful.Fortunately good treatment options are there.Keep the surgery as the lost option. However, if it come to that, keyhole surgery is minimally invasive, less painful and bloody and less time in the hospital.I know a few hospitals do it in Hyderabad.

Jefe, however, is the best person to enlighten us.Take care and wish you get well faster.

Best-
Vikram

badshah bhai...

there are few good options

1. massage (dont mistake this for ordinary massage). in bombay there was an old guy who used to feel the nerve tissue with his thumbs and massage along the spine in order to rectify spondilisys in one sitting and slip disk in few sittings. I dont have his contact details at present. will try and find out.

2. accu-pressure- I personally prefer the sujok therapy. My take is that it may not cure the back problem but definitely will relieve pain. I am an ameteur su-jok therapist and treat myself all the time for neck pains that I get working on the comp the whole day.

3. physio therapy
4. Cairo practitioners

What else, all of us wish you get back to normal soon. take care.. and most importantly have faith

Badshah,

I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon . In case you need any advice kindly send me a pm and I'd be happy to see yr MRI/ CT images etc . The modern disc surgery is very effective and safe. The symptom relief is rather dramatic and there is least post operative recumbency.

best,

RP.

Dear Badshah,

My sympathies to you for the severe pain you must be suffering from due to the slipped disc problem. I hope you get better soon.

I am a surgeon myself. My only advice to you would be to get the problem treated in the correct manner. Do not look for a "non-surgical" cure. Instead you must look for a solution to the problem. There are many fine surgeons in the reputed medical institutions of New Delhi. Any one of them could assess your problem and advise you whether you need surgery or non-surgical treatments like physiotherapy. You need to look for a good orthopedic surgeon or a neurosurgeon who specializes in spine surgery.

Since I live in Bangalore, I will not be in a position to advise you about whom to consult.

Regards,
Opensight
