Newbie Introduction

Post by salikt » Tue Jul 22, 2008 8:09 pm

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie to this group. I'm browsing this page since last 1 month but joined only last week as a member! This is my first post here.

About me: I'm from Kerala and presently working in Saudi Arabia. Not a new in the field of guns. I'm fond of Air guns and Jeeps since my child hood and still both are my weakness.

I had an Indian made Air gun in my high school days. It was a small and less powered one. Handed over from one to another and don't know where and who is having it now? Then after, I got another gun to keep under my custody for a couple of months from one of my distant relative. It was superb and powerful and the accuracy and range was excellent! But unfortunately I don't know the brand name. The only clue which I know about, that gun was made by West Germany and was .22 caliber. It was a little bit heavy too for me.

Once I went through your postings and experiences with your gun, I really got thrilled and want to buy a new and powerful foreign brand air gun from here in KSA which I can take with me to India. I do post my request and queries in Air gun section and expecting your opinion and recommendations to select the best then.

Hope that’s enough for the time being as a newbie here.

Thanks to everybody,

Sali.

Welcome aboard Sali. Hope you have fun and get to learn a lot while out here. You can get in touch with one of the IFG members by name Shahid who is also out in Dubai. He can help you buy an airgun while out there. Among the brands that you can think about are Weihrauch and Diana for springers. Don't know much about PCPs so will keep quiet about them.

Hi all,

Thanks a lot for the welcome note. Sure I will enjoy this site with all your posts and comments here.

Badsha: I'm in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi

Abijeeth: That I need to check with. I saw few air guns shopes here. I don't know expats can buy it or not. If that is the case then I will try through some saudi nationality. If nothing possible, last option from Dubai through my cousin or my next vacation trip RUH/DXB/CCJ :D

Once again thanks for you all guys and do keep in touch. I will post my next queries in th Air gun section.
