Hello from USA

Post by Barracuda » Tue Mar 25, 2008 1:29 am

Hi there fellow shooters!

I came across this forum today. I am Indian and I am based in the States. I do visit India every 18 months or so and shoot with both my brothers-in-law when I can.

I have a passion for finely engineered products and guns top that list along with cars. My tastes are Germanic and I have a particular fondness for Europe's finest - the affordable ones that is - Will post some pics soon. I was quite fascinated to see the IOF's Sauer 202 ripoff!

I hope to learn more about firearm laws in india - particularly any changes, if any, to private imports laws, and also to make new friends.

Cheers,

'Cuda

Thanks fellas, I am in Chicago, IL in the 'burbs.

I don't hunt but have nothing against it. Several folks here go up to Wisconsin for deer or downstate for birds. There are numerous indoor and outdoor ranges around the Chicago area that I frequent - time permitting. I have, over the years, developed into more of a collector than a shooter. Mostly because some of the stuff I end up buying is either rare or too beautiful to shoot.
Cheers to all!

Sanjay

Sanjay, we already have several members from Chicagoland, Amit is the one I know and Mehul baba is currently on "holiday", I'm sure he'll be back soon. Amit and I have been going on bird hunting trips for the past two years, the first year was the best with Mehul and Inder went with us too. Hang around here and we'll do something similar this year too. Hopefully, more people will join this year.

No, 'Cuda, that's not a ripoff. As Grumpy so succinctly phrased it, it's a riplica. Think they set their sights pretty high. Cheers, and Welcome.
