Hi sudhaiob,
Sure. In fact, I was planning to bring this idea up. I'm sure all will be ready. Where are you based in Chennai?
Regards
Ebenezer

Re: IFG Members of Tamilnadu
hello everybody
sorry for the belated post on the TN IFG Meet.
As scheduled we all met at about 12 pm at Chennai egmore. i was the only non chennaite. including me ther were 5 ebenezer, cari, striker and babujay. striker had arranged a room at friend's hotel for the stay of some 3 hours. We all exchanged yarns. i had some photos on my pen drive which i showed to the rest of the gang. as i had to catch a return train in the evening we broke up at about 3.15 pm with a [promise to meet before babujay's departure to the middle east for an assignment. the next meet is scheduled for a couple of days so that some plinking at used room fresheners (i have plenty of them) could be done at babujays farm house. the meet was primarily to reinforce the bond of IFG. hopefully others too would join in the coming meet

Re: IFG Members of Tamilnadu
Yesterday I could successfully take up few guys(all are from IT industry) to Kancheepuram for Target Shooting practice. Though none of us have experienced in any Gun for that matter, we plotted our plans to practice using simple target printed on a white paper.
Though my creation of target stand is half way, we first wanted to know how things of guns and posture holding, dos and don't during shooting practice etc. Hence the trip, our car stopped at Dr.Jones hospital for gather some valuable advices and we moved to the ground of Target shooting practice. We didn't know the fun till we hit the farm where we were planning, later all of us started shooting and some of us could reach the target sheet put on a bund of a farm pond with the pellets. It was very hot climate and heavy wind in the farm so the target sheet which had no support was flying continuously and we tried shooting it. it was beginners exercise so members please excuse us.
The success story behind our trip was that I could manage the rest of 3 guys also get convinced for taking up their shooting sports as an hobby (soon we will have more people joining for the fun).
After the first trip we have developed so many questions:
1. What is the ideal place to setup the shooting range
2. What is the various targets used on the .177 competition and how to read the scores
3. Thump rules in holding the Air rifles/pistols
4. What is the ideal distance for standing in the target shooting practice holding a 35mtr range rifle and what is the distance for air pistols?
5. In spite of we constantly trying to hold the gun firm, we still find our hands shaking during the shooting practice how to over come with the issue ?
I think i will post this questions into other thread as well, guys let us know the next trip details aswell.
Now the pictures to describe our yesterday's trip
