Hi Mack The Knife,

This is Abishai Fernandez, from Mumbai. Am planning to buy an airgun, more specifically one of the following models

Diana 54 Airking.
Diana 350 Magnum.
Diana 460 Magnum.
Panther Line 350 Magnum (new series).

With the following accessories: 3 - 9X40 telescope diana or a scope more suitable for a powerful gun.

Was planning on importing it from Dubai, Germany or UK. How do I go about it? What would be the documentation required and the approx courier chrages? And is it a must for me to be a member of any club? are there any loopholes? Should I use a shipping and forwarding agent?
Would it be cheaper if i imported the gun or if bought it from Pune? the guys in Pune gave me price tag of Rs. 55,000/-

also Came across a post where Mack The Knife says civilians are not allowed to have silencer or sound moderators. Is it possible to import one via courier or have some one bring it down for me?

Any suggestion on the above models?

Thanks and regards,
Abishai Fernandez.

Skip the moderators. If the rule says that you shouldn't have them then obey the law. Anyway an air rifle doesn't make that much of a racket unless its a pcp. Normally a well lubed springer is pretty okay on the ears. Some air rifles have permanently attached mods maybe...

Hi Prasad,

What would it cost me for the models you have mentioned and for the Panther 350 Magnum series. Are these one piece springs or are the springs cut? Whats the range that I can hit a target? and How much power does the gun have?

Also what would be the price difference in a break barrel and a fixed barrrel gun, and how much would it cost me to mount a silencer and a scope?

Please do let me know.

Regards,
Mr. Dudley Fernandez.

Hi Prasad,

Just wanted to confirm, if you have these guns with the Synthetic stock? and are these prices incl. of taxes. Have these guns been modified or has the velocity been modified? are the springs imported? How much would it cost me to purchase an extra spring?

Could you send me more details on the scopes? and even though silencers are banned, do the guns come with the adaptor?

Regards,
Dudley Fernandez.

Dear Sir

these guns are with the normal stocks. the price given in net price but you will not get any bill nor any paperwork for this.
The wepons are nit modified and have the original high power spring no need of buying spare spring.

there are 2 scopes made by diana 4x32 magnum and 3-9x40 both are good price will be 7000/- and 9000/- respectively.
the mount will be 6000/-

the 460 magnum does not take any adaptor as its under lever mechanism.

Hi Prasad.
If there's no bill or any paper work, do I get a warranty on the product? Is there any after sales service on the guns?

Diana 350 magnum -- 50000/-
Diana 350 magnum superior -- 54000/-
Diana 350 magnum panther -- NA
Diana 54 Airking -- 55000/-

Do these guns come with an adaptor so i can dettach or put on a silencer? Also Mail me the address and contact nos. as I will be in Pune next week.

I hope you are giving me the gun at the best rate. Because I feel I'm paying much more in India. Contacted a few people in B'lore and they told me the guns you have mentioned are worth around 35,000/- k to 40,000/- and scopes are around 5,000/- 7,000/- tops the one from Diana.

Look forward to hear from you.

Best regards,
Dudley Fernandez.

Dear Sir

Sir i am the warranty and if something happens i will be responsible as i am the authorised dealer. so dont worry for this clause.
secondly to fit any sound reducer on the gun you dont need any adaptor only you have to do is remove the front sight and put the thing on and tighten the allenscrew provided.
the rates i have given you are for the original weapons coming directly from the factory and not the duplicate ones which are imported from Dubai or Gulf which are all duplicate and made in china.
I am selling teh weapons to all the dealers in this rate so be assured that i will not charge you more and also due to the fast escalation in euro rate the price is increasing.

Please confirm and reply.

Best regards

Prasad.

Why don't you just get a club membership and import one yourself? As you would know the import duty for club members is now 0%. You would save yourself a ton of money besides having access to a shooting range to practice as well... The restriction of .177 cal only is not too bad all things considered... That's what I would do! Or if you REALLY want a .22 cal (I would say why bother) get someone coming back from overseas to carry it back for you.

Also, I have yet to figure out how Mr. Prasad can claim to be importing directly from the factory as commercial imports of airguns is NOT allowed. I would assume he is either importing in the name of club members and reselling them at a premium or using returning passengers to carry them back for him (for the .22 cal this is the only possible route).

Diana's are made ONLY in Germany NOT in China and if you buy from the Middle East, these would be the same airguns being sold to you. The reason they are cheaper is because of lower taxes and the dealers there probably buying in bulk and passing on the benefit to the customer.

Cheers!

Middle East prices are always higher than German prices.

Current DUbai price of Diana 35 is Dhs. 1150 to 1200. ROE to INR 1 Dhs. = INR 11.90
