Please elaborate on what you mean by originality of the barrel ? I dont think Diana Barrels are marked ( but I may be wrong )

The rifling looks very good and she shoots quite well too. It was windy today but still got a very tight two shot group at 10m of 1/4in

In my opinion the previous owner was a bit careless with her, probably ignorant.

I am glad I got the version with the red recoil pad meaning she is first generation. See below.

Especially the bold italics above the first picture. That means I got a piece thats at least 30years old. Wow...

I recently replaced my IHP's breech seal (O ring). Bought it from an automobile shop for 1/-. You need to look for O rings used for oil seals. Get impression on a paper or use a vernier calliper to size it and get the closest size.

yeah i too used a rubber rings from an auto spare part shop on my kolkata made gun, and it increased the power manyfolds ( the gun was leaking from the breech i think) But the only problem with it is that they keep falling off. Use a seal with a rectangular cross-section to avoid this problem. also take care that the seal is in its place while closing the barrel, if its not the piston will hit the cylinder with great force and may cause a crack or break

Most Dianas I have come across have the serial no.etched on the barrel-which should match the one on the cylinder.So therefore u should know if its an original.
The spare barrel..I had a good look at a picture of your airgun and the breech pins seem different, there is a lock screw to the main breech pin/screw.The newer Dianas do not have this feature.Secondly I think your version uses the T-01,trigger unit.Please ask the doc,or check on the link I have given u.

I do not see much difference between an 'original' breech seal and one used for oil seals.
To keep it from falling off, take an O ring which is a tad big for the 'seat'. Then put it in the refrigerator for a while so it gets contracted. Now when you fix it, it will hold on. Mine holds tight since about a week and 200 shots.

I have someone visiting dubai. Let me see if he can pick up a couple of them.

Try and pick up at least a couple of mainsprings and piston washers. These are what you would require to replace at regular intervals so it's always a good idea to keep a couple of spares handy...

I am learning new things about the 35 all the time. I came across details on a british forum and learned that the make and year of manufacture is on the cylinder.

Looked closely and found "Made in Germany", so she is post 1990 manufacture. The date of manufacture is 04 something, don't have a powerful magnifying glass to see the last two digits.

I will examine the barrel closely to see if anything there.

Hunter its definitely not a TO1 (am I glad) Its either a TO4 or TO5 because the trigger pull is in two distinct stages. I may be wrong but I believe 35 had a TO5 as standard. Ofcourse I can confirm that by separating the stock. I think its held by four screws, two on the trigger guard and two (one on either side) below and behind the rear sight, just where the stock starts. Correct me if I am wrong separating the stock.

But why does it say "MADE IN GERMANY" should'nt it be "MADE IN WEST GERMANY" or something similar ?

I need help with stripping her (now now....THAT's not what I meant..... ) Please help me with that....
