Re: HANDGUN
Deepak sorry i mixed mauser model 1910 with mauser broom handle erroneously, but from the given list, i still strongly suggest the webly revolver. or try to find some llama or star pistol of comparatively new manufacture which will be in your price range.
@ two rivers thanks for clarification as there is a general view that tokarov is a hotter round. what do you say about Czech loading of the same caliber. i have a CZ 52 and i have read some where that it was supposed to be fed with a 25% hotter round than Russian loadings. i never get my hands on Czech mil surplus rounds but the Commercial loading of S&B are at par with Norinco stuff. was there any such round existed or it is another myth.
regards

Re the Beretta 1934 is in .380 ACP,the Model 1935 which looks exactly the same is in .32 ACP,didnt knowhock ann";p="43060 wrote:Nowadays the prices of imported weapons are very high through out our country, and my suggestion is that don't hurry but try to look elsewhere for .32 caliber pistol since you will get KF ctgs easily every where. Further I would advice you to buy P.Beretta Mod-1934/44. for the pistol is very simple in mechanism with very few parts as compared to these brands common in our country like :-Llama/star/ppk/mauser/ astra/ bosque/FN/ bernardelli/CZ/FIE/colt/H&R/HK/webley/Mab/remington/sauer/savage/steyr... etc.. but not Unique mod-51 the model is very similar to beretta 1934/44/or model-70 S. which you should get for about 5.5 if its in original condition.
hock ann,
they are going for 5 plus, someone in Hyd was offered one .380 in ok condition for around 3 plus.

Re: HANDGUN
deepak i am afraid that we are at the start of eternal mousegun debate, there is nothing wrong with 25 ACP if it is the only gun you can have, but as you have batter and powerful choices available, why don't you go for them. This caliber is best in the role as a last-ditch defense. If circumstances allow, then a larger gun chambered for a more potent caliber should be chosen for SD.

Yes sanjay is correct i just over looked the model is 1935 also known as model 935 with frame markings "RA" & "RM" for the air force & navy use respectively it is a 7 shots double action barrel is 3 3/8" overall length is 5 7/8 " with thumb safety & plastic grips it was Italian service pistol for WW-II.
yea Deepak, the stoping power for the .25 is not so effective at close distance it is ok if you always have fresh bullets, I have few friends who were having .25s have sold and gone for 32s as the SB ctgs are not good if you fire CCI or Austria ammo then its ok but these are also not always available in the MKT the dealers always prefer to keep the SB ammo which is cheap. my last suggestion go for a 32 that suits ur budget.

Re: HANDGUN
deepak,
the iof clearly states not to dry fire the .22 revolver as the firing pin will strike the chamber and not in the center.this will damage the chamber and feeding and extraction will become difficult and the same must have happened in your case.

It's a shame you can't dry fire the .22 revo; I know everyone likes to dry fire but it is very clearly mentioned "DO NOT DRY FIRE".

All the 22 Rim fire ammo if dry fired spoils the chamber since the firing pin strikes on the body of the chamber resulting in dents which creates problems later on in the loading or ejection of the ammos. So for dry fire reason you just cannot blame IOF you will find this problem with every 22 weapons that feed Rim fire ammo.
