Are they any good? My father in law has one which hasn't seen the light of day for tens of years I think. It's a little rusted. I asked a dealer for the value and he said these are rubbish, not much value. Are they an alloy?

I think CS has got himself a very good deal,NIB piece at a reasonable price given that there are jokers on the forum asking for about the same amount for a used IOF.
Alloy or not it doesnt really make a diff, cause it will get the job done effectively, and if maintained well will last a life time.

They are pretty decent revolvers and are a good value for money. The body is alloy but don't forget its German Technology . The problem is not with the revolver but with the ammo being fired in it.

allow body etc is a sham talk i have seen a latest gock with the STF people the body is of some polymer type material,
allow is exactly not aluminium it is a titanium allow to reduce weight remember whem maruti came with plastic bumpers, as we were all mentally arrested in the `60 technology and were scepticle about the safety but now every one is quite happy, same is the case with weapons we are still living in the webley era but the weapon technology has developed leaps and bound, by the way i have fired the revolver at the police range on a body silhoute 14 shots 11 in the head 3 missed. at 10 meters, quite an accurate revolver with indian shells.

I never said alloy is bad; I'd give an arm and a leg for a lightweight defensive handgun.

Please please please post some pics.
