Hello from a new member

Post by sporter » Fri Mar 14, 2008 11:50 pm

Hello all,

May I first compliment the IFG team on a very comprehensive and well organised forum. I look forward to many hours use in the time to come.

This is just a short message to introduce myself. I am a UK based clay-pigeon shooter. I shoot mostly English Sporting Clays (ESP) with a 12 gauge over-and-under. Also some skeet and compac from time to time.

I will shortly be moving to India for work purposes (probably for about two years) and hope to be able to continue shooting in India. I am sure I will get lots of help and advice from the IFG community and look forward to much debate and, hopefully, the opportunity to meet and shoot with some of you in the future.

I will doubtless be pestering you all for advice in the weeks to come so please be patient, I will learn!

Thanks all,

I am looking forward to getting out there. Things are very busy at the moment getting packed up for the move.

I am hoping to bring a shotgun with me and have been reading through all the Legal Eagle topics to try and work out what is involved, but it doesn't seem easy! The Indian High Commission in London has unfortunately not been much help - lots of answer machines.

I will let you know how I get on..

Welcome aboard, Sporter. Hope you get the gun import sorted out.

Which part of India will you be based out of?

Cheers
GG

I will be living and working in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I hope to have plenty of opportunities to get out and about to see the rest of the country too.
