Does anybody know the courier companies' policy on delivering knives?
Anybody with any personal experience of sending a knife by courier in India? Would be much obliged to know your story.

Yaj.

Re: Couriers that accept parcels containing knives?
Hi,
As far as i know it should not be a problem, that is within India. I would use speed post from The Indian Postal Service, they normally do not ask what is in the parcel, i in fact have sent cameras, laptops and even some swiss knives once. Fast, reliable and cheap. The smallest parcel i have sent was about 500gm the biggest was the laptop box tipping the scales at about 10 kgs.
Most courier co's ask to open and show them what is inside parcel. May cause an issue with knives.
Cheers,
rishu
/thinks the knives we use in the kitchen..the big butcher ones are also transported

Thanks Rishu,
I guess the speed post from The Indian Postal Service would be the way to go.
