Where did you pick new guides from, Doc- Cabelas? Would like to see pics when you've got the time to post them.

Have always preferred Fevikwick- doesn't involve the hassle of mixing.

It's a system problem that crops up from time to time - best work around is press the back button on your browser. It should take you to the same page with the typed out message (in most cases) select the text and copy it and paste it on notepad (to be safe), then try reposting it.

There is a BIG system upgrade on the horizon, so am not messing around with the system for now. The upgrade should solve all of these issues (will have to wait a few more months though).

Cheers!

Thanks for all the help. I ll go with a cpl of my buddies. If anyone is planning a trip soon to bhakra i wud be thrilled to learn smthng from all the guru's.

HI Rd, obviously, fishing gear is not available off the rack in India!
I dont know if yu can get it by ordering of the net-try cabela's.com.

Else try:[email protected]
He's bangalore based, and has a fair bunch of fishing rods etc.Else , you can try yur luck at Lodhi Sports in Lodhi Market, New Delhi.
Bhakra needs no fishing permit, you will however need a vehicle permit to enter, after you exit Nangal.
Also suggest you sign into Indian Angler.com? there are quite a few C'garh based anglers popping up there.
You will need :
a med to med heavy, 2 or 2.3m rod, preferably 2 pc.
a 4000 series reel taking upto 20lb line-100-150m. preferably 150+m of 15lb line
Casting weight of about 30-50g
Duolocks
Swivels
for bait- a combo of :
worm
Atta

Spinners
Plugs
And ofcourse, the hooks.
All except atta and worm are available at Lodhi Sports, Lodimarket branch ONLY
Best

Rd, have a look at the following Daiwa rod and reel combo. I will be sending a rod and reel to a friend in Chandigargh soon so if you need one set let me know. That way you both can split the shipping costs.
