i feel sad at the state of affairs, regarding misuse and lack of understanding of firearms.

Another nail in the coffin, a groom was shot at, in a late night marriage party in Alipur(NCR) with a 12 bore shotgun from close range. Police are suspecting personal rivalry as the cause.

Scanned the papers today - the Times of India news report mentions a .12 handgun (sic) as having been used to commit the crime. As all of us know the only "12 gauge handguns" in wide circulation here are the country made kattas... which are illegal & unlicensed firearms...

Thanks for the update Abhijeet.

Then why in the blazes were the news-folk showing an SxS 12 Bore shotty. This generic portrayal of guns is really irresponsible, makes me wonder how well they know about other issues and situations that they portray on our tabloidized news channels.
