Hello. Novel design, never used it but feel it will give you some(limited) benefits of the three point sling used by combat forces. Probably help you carry it in different carry positions,may also allow you to bring it into'action' straight from the sling carry position.
Mind you, I was experimenting with something like this,satisfactory, but the front loop messed up the barrel bluing due to constant chaffing.Regards.
