Re: Revolver or Pistol
HI MR JHA
im using .22 rev from last one year and now i have applied for an additional weapon on my license, if ill be able to get, then obviously ill go for a pistol.you all are possessing weapons, and know about guns but i must tell that if you ask a layman to choose between a rev or semi auto and keep the two in front of him, he will definately choose the latter.dear, whatever we say its a hard core truth that we all are fascinated with the looks and appearance of a pistol and the mechanism it works on. as a layman i vote for the pistol but if ill not get one then i have to go for an iof rev and then ill join your club mr jha and we will together shout that all pistol owners are idiot.fine mr jha.you are not alone im with you, you dont worry if ill not able to grab a good pistol ill be another one to criticise pistols.then we will be doing "HALLA BOL" on all the moderators with some foolish causes and facts.
take care.

`S funny but I`ve now lost my patience with vjha55 completely.
Sunshine, you are a wanker of the first order. That`s a wanker - spelled `WANKER` - or just in case you haven`t got the message - `WANKER`.
Now go and play with yourself somewhere else you wanker.

And the wanker knows nothing about guns because he is an ignorant, self-opinionated wanker.

A close perusal of most posts on this form would suggest that most boarders are engulfed by ego and can not tolerate anything going against their beliefs. They are selfstyled conquerers and learned.
Challenging and thought provoking statments would attract GURU's wrath saying one is lacking manners. One cant help but to think that this forum is run for few such selfcoined GURUS who are fanatics.

Think what you may, the fact is, in a debate, people defend their respective stances. We are simply doing so. Get that into your thick skull. Further more, you are the one who provoked everyone into getting less than pleasant because of your stupid and arrogant statements calling every one who owns anything other than a revolver stupid or an idiot... now if you have any decency you'd, realize that you drew first blood.
All our stances were and are basically neutral as regards revolvers and pistol. Most of us stated endlessly that its up to the person's personal preference in deciding the use of either type. If you find that stance so hard to digest, I believe you have a serious psychological impediment. As a result 'Fanatic'- the very term you accuse us of, is more apt for a silly clodhopper like you.
There is nothing challenging or thought provoking about your statements- They are simply lacking in manners and they are ill founded on half-knowledge, zero experience and your gullibility to hearsay. The argument for revolvers and pistols has been on for over a century, and will go on. You added nothing fresh or insightful to the debate other than forcing your silly notions of peoples psychology behind their choice of guns.
If you think this forum is run by egoistic, self styled, all knowing gurus, then so be it - Its a free country and you are free to think what you want. Rest assured, we lose nothing from losing an ignorant fop and an arrogant jerk-off.
You can either stay and humiliate yourself daily, stay and get along with people, or wank yourself out of here and start 'indiansforrevolvers.com' or something.
I hope this is clear enough.

Re: Revolver or Pistol
`Guru` just reflects the numbers of posts one has made - it`s not an honorific nor is it a an actual indication of ability, knowledge or status.
A `close perusal` of this board would suggest that most members are concerned with increasing their knowledge of guns - or just discussing that subject amongst like minded others.
The matter of ego is interesting and is most noticable amongst a very few ill-mannered, rude, ignorant, arrogant and provocative persons........notably one vjha55.
`Self -styled conquerors and learned` ?
What is that supposed to mean ....... apart from total gibberish ?
Alexander was a conqueror........Self-syled no doubt and actual. Hannibal ditto
I haven`t noticed any individual who has `conquerered` this website.......seems to be a form of democracy with many contributing members.
`Learned` ? Learned means `knowledgable`. Thankyou for the compliment.
`Fanatics`? The OED defines a `fanatic` as: `Inspired by a deity`, `frenzied`. `Affected by excessive and mistaken enthusiasm`.
Ah, I see. Such as a rude and ignorant person who makes deliberately provocative statements based on a little knowledge gleaned from elsewhere in this forum, a great deal more ill-informed personal bias and a complete misinterpretation/misunderstanding of technical matters. Yourself in fact.
vjha55, you`re a rude, ill-mannered and ignorant fanatic - by prior definition. You should be ashamed of your behaviour which would be embarrassing if it were that of a squalling baby. One wonders if you`ve achieved this situation by your own efforts or if your parents contributed by the manner in which they brought you up. I sincerely hope the forner and take comfort in the fact that they also would find your language, behaviour and general demeanor utterly disgraceful.
You have obviously escaped from your cot or pram so I suggest that you crawl off home and get back to those things that you are so obviously good at - screaming, soiling your nappy, sucking your thumb and playing with yourself.

Re: Revolver or Pistol
Though I own a 1911A1 I would love a revolver. It just looks beautiful; a snubbie or a 3 inch barrel in a large enough caliber. Unfortunately there's (practically) no way to get something bigger than the .32 here. Many a times I have contemplated selling of my 1911 and getting a S&W snubbie. Then I look at the barrel, the size of the cartridge, the size of the bullet and decide against it.
And sadly I would have to admit; considering real world scenarios (ammo, cleaning, etc.) a pistol is more likely to fail than a revolver. Now the newer pistols (Glocks for e.g.) are almost bulletproof, but they still have many more parts than a revolver that work in a combination and rely on external factors.

Parag, the IOFB pistol suffers from several manufacturing defects - if the choice is between an IOFB made revolver and an IOFB made pistol, go for the revolver.paragvns";p="35500 wrote:I'm voting " not sure" but i,m sure that i'm surest of the not sure lot.

UNLESS of course you are willing to shell out up to 50% of the cost of the pistol OVER & ABOVE your purchase cost to pay to a gunsmith to rectify it's inherent problems... not really worth it IMHO!
Cheers!

Parag, if your choice is limited to IOF stuff, go for the revolver, i concur with Abhijeet on the inherent flaws of the IOF pistol.

Parag,
You see, I made full payment for pistol to IOF kossiopre, but asked for refund now. While finally made another full payment for revolver to FGK kanpur which I am going to collect(revolver not money in this case) on 10th March.
An ordinary pistol is a liabiliy, let alone an asset.

Not that it's vastly better...its just better of the two evils... dunno why we Indians have this moth eaten fixation with the Webley & Scott design anyway....
