knife shopping in Thailand

Post by Bruno22 » Fri Nov 02, 2007 10:20 am

Hello everyone,
Anyone know of any good knife shops in Thailand? Will be visiting in a few days and wanted to go armed with some names and locations. Any help will be welcome.

Call on the land line #s given below in Bangkok. One Sachdev family of Indian origin owns more then a dozen gun shops in a row. Unfortunately the card I have is in their local language, except the numbers fortunately. One of their shops is exclusively for knives only. Happy shopping.

Hey, just go the Katuchak or Tatuchak weekend market... you'll get loads and loads of stuff there... including all ex-military stuff... cheap...
Ofcourse, do bargain... i was there in July...

I am back. Thanks eveyone for the useful information. Sadly could not visit any of the locations as I was busy with my wife and kid. Did see a lot of ColdSteel knives sold in the mens sections of many department stores. Also came accross some very cool and expensive Strider Knives. Theres a chain of shops called 'The Tank Store' which have super stuff like knives, clothes and flashlights.
Had a super trip!!

No knives, but did get a surefire G2 Nitrolon flashlight. Its got a led bulb and an on time of about 12 hours. Got it for about Rs. 3600/- Was very tempted to get the Coldsteel Kukri. Its fantastic, but huge and would have got me in problems at the airport.
