Check this one out,guy kills a lion in self defense with a spear,only to be done in by hyenas

Thats sad that the guy got killed. Killing a lion would have made him a hero . But thats destiny .....

i would like to point out that the comments of mr paul udolt of the kenyan wildlife service arent entirely true.
hyenas are very efficiant hunters and over the recent years, advances in night photography etc have shed more light on their life and they dont eat lions leftovers as per the common belief but many a times it is the lions who steal hyenas kill and they wait for them to finish before they can resume eating. also they hunt in packs so do lions that doesnt make them cowards.
many a times are known to fight lions etc.
small animal being afraid of the top predator is not cowardice. if it were, all deer, antelopes, rabbits, vultures, other birds are cowards.

it goes to show that man has more to fear from pack animals. That includes two legs.

it does not matter how strong or how like van damm ur. large numbers will get u in the end.
