Hi Vikas,

Looks functional but there are a few things I would have done.

1) I would have added the two sides to the lid.

2) I would have made some provision for a lock - even if it was just one small padlock.

3) I would have left enough space for a scope.

4) I would have added some sort of padding to the inside of the lid.

How have you fastened the buckle straps to the top and bottom of the case?

The wooden case lacks the finish.The soft ones dont just look good but seem sturdy too.

What is that in the soft case with all the optics,never seen anything like that before.

True but it's a sturdy old fellow and heavy as hell.

Which reminds me, that I had made another hard case for my FWB 603. It was very basic but protected the rifle well when travelling by plane and train.

The soft cases are extremely sturdy and waterproof (not water resistant) - unless water gets past the zip, ofcourse.

That is a Skan AR32 with a NV scope and laser. One of the bigger pouches is for a day scope. This case was made for a friend in England. The back of the case has two haversack type padded straps.

Dear Mack The Knife,
Managed to read the reply today since the lines were down earlier.
1) The sides are surely one thing I too realized later were a required thing for making the box stronger.
2) A lock can be provided even now.
3) Since I do not see much scope for a scope I preferred to keep it as such.
4) The inside of the lid does have a padding.
5) The straps are riveted to the box with copper rivets and then the inner padding done.

Whats your opinion on the stock of the rifle?

A water gun? I thought the cylinder was meant to hold compressed air. Why would anyone want a scope on one of those?

Same reason you have scopes and lasers and red dots on airsoft guns I suppose.

Inletting is the term used to denote the inside of the stock - the space in which part of the action resides.

As mentioned earlier, it is a Skan AR32 but some people have a reading problem...
