Err.. The only two 'creatures' that caught my attention were the crocs and those fish eating birds that were crapping all were a tree(what's the nameMack The Knife Bana";p="30764 wrote: Yes it is! If I am not mistaken, YOU saw them last week.

Is it the birds? Crocs can't stand on two feet..

This is getting bizarre! In a way I am glad hunting is banned in India because if this is the level of quarry identification , who knows what will get shot.biking3819";p="30767 wrote:are they flamingoes ?

I am pretty sure you saw a couple of these but in a different medium. The birds you are refering to were cormorants.Err.. The only two 'creatures' that caught my attention were the crocs and those fish eating birds that were crapping all were a tree(what's the name

Zoomed in on the new pic, looks like two of them- one on it's hind legs and the other on all fours. Are they langurs? I think I can see the tail on one of them.

Cormorants - Black, with very short legs.
Flamingoes - Pink, with very long legs.
So pretty similar...........................
So we have an animal standing on its hind legs that looks like a stick insect ..... or a dead tree and another that looks like a goat......or a Giant Schnauzer........
.......and they aren`t Goats or Deer or Antelope.
I`m amazed that you have anything left in India as I thought that most of your wildlife had been poached to extinction. ( )
So what`s left ? Either some sort of wild sheep or some exotic escapees from the local zoo.

Water? Remember seeing spot bills. But a spot bill wouldn't be that tall...

The hint:
`In a different medium`
Very helpful.
They aren`t birds apparently so the medium can`t be air - so it has to be water.
........ So what do you have that ( normally ) lives in water and can stand on its back legs ? Very stumpy Otters ? Giant Rats ? Extremely skinny enormous Turtles ? Pale Sea Lions ? Tiny trunkless Elephants ? Athletic Rhinos ? Rare four-legged Catfish ?
