Dwarka shooting club - Delhi

Post by hamiclar01 » Thu Mar 15, 2007 3:10 pm

Hi!

i remember a member alluding to the dwarka shooting club a few days ago (was it you rahul1?)

can we have more details please? i remember seeing a link on indianshooters, but could not follow it. maybe someone who has been there can tell us more...location, facilities, members, contact details.

of course there's vested interest involved! i stay right next to dwarka, and a safe place to play with guns is always welcome.... with most places in janakpuri with decent backstops infested with hanger ons who gawk and offer "expert" advice when i start to aim :x , and most quieter places having no backstop at all

This is how you locate it

1) From Ganpati Chowk take left if you are coming from Sec 6
2) Follow the road and after you cross mall on your right you will be about to reach ramfal chowk
3) From ramfal chowk take left, yes, move on
4) After 100 m or so you will find a ruined building on your left, stop there
5) Look to your right. Thers is a shopping complex types
6) Dwarka Shooting Club is in the basement of this complex

Notes:
1) Contact No = 9818723136 - Naresh Sharma (Coach, Arjuna Awardee in Shooting)
2) Offers 10m air pistol and air rifle shooting

I am learning there and find it more than sufficient to continue learning for many years to come...

AFAIK it's a privately owned and run shooting club and there is NO restrictions on membership. However they only have a 10m air-rifle/ air-pistol shooting range, there are NO ranges available for firearms (powder burners).

Is this shooting club in Dwarka still active? I tried calling the number several times but always got the busy tone...

Hi Rahulk,

Are you still attending this club?? I tried to find the club using the directions given by you but it doesn't seem to exist any longer. The phone number of Mr. sharma does not respond either.
