So I bought a Gamo Shadow .177 from some seller in Arizona. Bought it from American Airgun classifieds. Came with a 3-9X32 scope-mounted, a hard case and about 600 pellets.

Haven't shot it enough, but the little that I did, seems like a great little gun. Ideal for the general plinking I enjoy in the backyard.

Here's the Pyramid Air's page:

Cheers,

Pyramid would have charged him $100 just for using an international credit card and then sc****d him further by sending it on air cargo. Probably Cabelas would be better + my tried and tested mac1airgun.

Thanks guys.

The scope is a Daisy Powerline. But the guy put it on a internal scope stopping mount. It's pretty solid.

Cabelas don't ship restricted items to India. No pellets, airguns or scopes.

Even some knives are removed from your cart when you try to check out. :(

Sure you can, so long as the airgun is in .177 cal AND the recipient is a member of the NRAI or even of any State or District rifle club/ shooting association. You'll have to send along the invoice for the gun though, so that the recipient can prove it's value and accordingly pay the required duties... NO SCOPES THOUGH!!

Interesting!!!! Now how does one go about this ... do I have to inform anybody before I ship the air-gun out or anything?

Or do I just wait for the custom's to get a hold of the package and for them to contact the 'recepient'.

Thanks
Amit

By inform, I assume you mean inform some govt. agency etc. in India? There is no such requirement, you just need to figure out a reasonably priced and reliable shipping service that is willing to ship an airgun to India. AFAIK even USPS will carry them, not sure of the rates etc. though. Do keep in mind the fact that the duty (of approx. 35%) is applicable on the CIF value (cost+insurance+freight).

You will also not be able to ship pellets to India, as there is no specific notification allowing their import via post...

Cheers!
