So how do you practice to ensure that you are accurate with your shotgun/rifle when the need for it arises.Or do you use heat seeking bullets?

I`m still trying to wrap my head around that outburst......

So if firearms are only for taking or saving lives then what happens if you get a pistol for self-defence purposes but in 30-40 years it is never required ? - Using Andy-logic that means that to prevent `disgrace and dishonour` the pistol is going to have to be used to kill someone...........................Might as well blast a few Tigers while you`re at it.

Has someone left the back door of the looney bin open again ?

Grumps

Its about time to have some trolls back and they normally jump over the wall. And why Tigers there are enough cats and dogs around for target practice.

Troll nah, Andy old boy is just giving vent to his feelings wrt the prevaliing situation.

Given his profession he gets to fire a fairly large variety of exotic fire arms on a regular

basis  ,something most of us would love to do :)

Then he better think before he posts because posts such as those could very well be used against all of us.

He's a serviceman, shoots a large variety of fierearms, enough to make us all jealous? at what? I thought the army still uses fig 11 & 10 targets and whatever...or has this unit reverted to the 'fish on a pole and shoot guided by the reflection below'?
Or is live target practice being encouraged overtly?
So, if paper punching is detrimental to the process of building up of accuracy and psychomotor skills, there's something wrong with THIS thought process!

Exotic weapons.Hmmmm...

1.The sawn off 12 ga. shitgun

2.The long range 'big bore'

3.The hot gas micro bore airhead

and finally

4.The foot in the mouth suicide special

I don't think I want to fire anyone of these.

Naah he's just using heroic vaunt, a speaking technique preferred in Bollywood like Dharamender's ,"Doggie I will drink your blood after I chose, chose each one of you etc..."

Blimey, the wordsmith is back! woe betide the evil doer! :)
Sometime, if you try, and the FBI doesent hassle you-I think Lenny Bruce deserves a comeback...
bit of an outburst-on my part too, will retract the offending word(s)

Rusty-Couldnt agree more, given his background his reaction was surprising to say the least-why :?: your guess is as good as mine

penpusher-Definitely not the best way to do it,but some just keep on doin it
My idea of exotic would be more on the lines of Auto's,Belted MMg's & HMG's,RL's,Mortars,RCL's and may be wire guided missiles,a mix of any of these would give a good kick :)

Asif-a shot in the dark perhaps a case of too much time in the plains
..... he is getting impatient to head North or North East ..... could
be he has just come out of there and he is living in the past...something
to do with his thought process......any one would fit the bill
