IFG Culture and the Maharaja of Whiskypour

Post by timmy » Thu Nov 07, 2024 2:04 am

I was a newcomer here like some here today, and I was able to sample some of the ancient culture of legendary IFGians of yore. Perhaps some here may recall the literature of the Mughals, or the ancient Sangam literature from the Land of the Cholas. Even such erudite folks may not be aware of the ancient legends and traditions of IFG.

My most favorite is the tale of the Maharaja of Whiskypour, which you can read about here:

These stories and the riddles of Brihacharan are now in the misty past of IFG, which old geezers sit around and, steeped in nostalgia, fondly recall.

I'm posting this in hopes that someone will have knowledge of what happened to the Maharaja?

😂 Good reads, thanks for the thread link. Reminds me of Shikari Shambu from Tinkle. Though, I have no idea what happened to him.

Delightful posts Sir. Outdo the highs of Patiala pegs. This reminds of another fabulous tale of an old IFGian. I will repost right away.

Sorry, failed to dig it out. It was a highly amusing tale of a time when hunting was allowed in India. The post narrated a prank played out on a man with Herculean strength vs a pressure cooker during the days when Shikaar wad allowed n India.

Hope, someone pulls up that nostalgic event from IFG's beautiful memories.

Aah, finally found the topic of that beautiful narrative 'he Demigod's nemesis'.

Meant for all of us folks who will probably never experience the charm of that bygone era. Robotics, AI etc sound more interesting perhaps?
