Thoughts on the new Taurus Jindal pistol

Post by ashrafi1 » Thu Jun 27, 2024 5:59 pm

Dear All,

As you already know Taurus pistol .32 has been launched by Jindal in India, the pistol seems to look very promising.

Would it be good for an everyday carry?Apart from it what advantages or shortfalls it has over other similiar pistols.

I would greatly appreciate the knowledgeable here to share their thoughts on it please.

Thanks in advance.

yes sir
Falcon is a good pistol, I have fired 54 rounds, no problem , but I have also fired TT, .45 colt M1911, so my mindset is like that, I gave 7.5 points out of 10 points, fit and finish is good and easy to carry. There is a slight problem with the 10 round magazine. I have given feedback to MSD to fix it.
for me Nanda's cheetah looks more promising.

We bought one today, for my wife. Personally I am not a fan of higher calibres than 0.32 because of ammo availability and price. Concealed carry was a priority too. Loved the 30 cal by MSD but the caliber over penetrates and is not ideal in an SD situation. After agonising over the decision for months - finally settled for 32 cal. For me it was a practical decision taking into consideration ammo availability and price.

Saw all the available models, stripped some, tried draw and balance and trust me nothing quite lives up to the PT 57 SC by JD Taurus. Awesome build quality and balance. Only drawback is double stack mag makes the grip bulkier and smaller hands shall struggle . The pistol is not too heavy , not too light and strikes the sweet spot. A friend has now put thru more than 100 rounds and all seems well . Anyways I don’t think we shall fire more than 100 rounds a year thru this being an SD pistol and the fact that ammo quota and absurd laws prevent serious practice for non renowned shots .

Ambidextrous safety, hammer decocker, round in chamber indicator , brushed silver barrel and slide , customisable mag release - nothing not to like in a package costing 2.2 lacs. Unless something goes wrong terribly - I think we have a winner here.

Don’t like the grips - to plasticky. Premium soft silicon feel would have been preferred

Use hollow point ammo. They are available in India. Just check that they work reliably in your pistol before you load them for SD

Congrats!

Thank you! I was considering the Atal for a long time but the response from the company was pathetic and the weapon robustness was a question mark...

I'm guessing for .32 Taurus is the best option now.. CZ will be a better option if it launches. More experienced members here can confirm?
