We hoped that once made in India arms are available the price would be justifiable.
Isn't 2.5 -3 akh is way too inflated considering the cost of CNC, forge , and (assumed) amount of time it takes to put together parts afterwards ?

They are accumulating the advanced amount in this fashion and putting it to their use in order to avoid interest rates they'd have to shell out if the finance is arranged from banks or similar institutions. Not unlike builders, in my opinion. Not fair anyways.

I don't think thats the point that they are accumulating but some people like me who have been asked by the assigned dealer to pay the full, have paid the amount in its entirety.

I have paid the full amount recently on dealer's request. Even if they are of the intention youre talking, how many customers are there who have paid 5000 deposit. I don;t think the 5000 from lets assume 500 potential customer could be of substantial help in buying high end CNC machines and paying wages to machine operators. but again its a wild wild country.

I was also interested in buying Atal. I contacted the company 2 weeks ago, they said that they are issuing 5 pieces per dealers & their main priority is to supply orders to UP, PB & HR states because of the high demand. He asked me get in touch with 2 dealers from my city (Pune). I visited one of the dealer who happens to be father’s acquaintance, he told me that he has successfully completed local i.e. Pune police formalities to transport the weapons but formalities are still pending with KA state authorities (from company end), It may take 2-3 weeks more. During my recent discussion with the dealer he suggested me not to wait for Atal as it may take 1.5 months more. The dealer is not taking any booking or advance for Atal as he is not sure about delivery timeline.

I bought Gretta Thunder combat pro 2 days back. It is a good weapon. Lighter trigger pull than IOF revolvers, built quality is great. Looks good in cera coated as compared to blueing.
There are very few options available in Indian revolvers, Gretta is the best one. If you are inclined towards buying pistol than MSD 0.45 & Gretta Bramhastra 0.32 has the superior built quality as compared to others.

have talked to ASTR def. They have informed that ATAL . 32X has been dispatched to gun dealers in Batala, Ahmedabad and Kanpur where they can be seen by prospective buyers. for remaining cities it will be after a couple of weeks.
