Mizoram Open Air Rifle/Air Pistol Competition

Organiser:
Aizawl District Rifle Association, which is affiliated to Mizoram Rifle Association under Indian Rifle Association, is about to organise an open air rifle and pistol competition during 13th & 14th October, 2023 at MRA shooting gallery, and the nearby vacinity at Mualpui, here in Aizawl the state capital of Mizoram.

Categories:
MRA Shooting gallery will hold 10 metres air pistol and 10 metres air rifle competition, peep sight only with youth (17 years and below), junior (18-20 years), and senior (21 years and above) categories in men and women respectively.

The convenient near-by shooting range will hold some interesting events as the attached image.

Significance:
The event is organised to encourage and engage new shooters, and to raise awareness among general public about the discipline, as well as to share experiences, build a stronger relationships among shooters and inspire each others to reach higher levels.

In addition to that, the association aimed to raise money to buy digital target system for shooters that will be implemented in the shooting gallery itself.

Able, thanks for posting notices of shooting events. You are performing a very useful and desirable thing for us here at IFG.

Thanks for the post. I wish I lived close to Mizoram. Would have loved to attend such events.

Thanks for the kind words, @timmy

@GVS, I know right. Even though election is just around the corner it's great to see shooting competition organised (considering the stigma involving guns).

One thing I forgot to mention is that shooters who had represented the states in shooting are not allowed to participate in their respective disciplines. Thus, giving a chance to new aspiring shooters. This is done to engage and encourage new shooters.
