Re: CZ PISTOL IN INDIA
So probably CZ is not as premium as Colt, given price of Colt .25 was a lot more in 1927 then what someone quoted in 1953 for CZ.

Re: CZ PISTOL IN INDIA
Yes, it is in brand new though manufactured a few years ago. Not in India. I have acquired this through Singapore, government has stopped giving arms license to public in Singapore a few years ago, all the stock with arm dealers became surplus to requirements, Singapore government Auctioned off everything. It costed me $1250.

So glad to see so many people talking about gun safety and promoting the 4 golden rules , i sincerely believe this is a big step towards changing things for better as far as how guns are treated in India , after all better gun culture is not just better guns ... Thanks to all the members for promoting best practices , we all need a refresher from time to time ....

Re: CZ PISTOL IN INDIA
sid9887, I fully agree with you.
We may base our arguments on philosophical ideas of freedom and rights, but unless a large number of folks feel safe with people owning guns -- unless they can trust that gun owners handling their guns will not be a threat to the public, then the road to general ownership may be too steep to climb.
We must demonstrate unfailing responsibility and commitment to safety.
But as you say, this is nothing more than practicing the simple tried-and-true safety rules that have been aroound forever. There's no mystery about it at all to safe gun handling.

In my own circle ,even when I always try my best to promote best practices and gun safety and try to explain the idea behind gun safety rules probably in a way that even a layman could understand but I still find most of them not very comfortable around a gun , no matter what , "Sadly" , we as a society have been made to believe by the authorities that guns are not for us , either they are supposed to be with law enforcers or criminals and maybe an exception for the influential lot as it is more of a privilege to be a gun owner , a law abiding tax paying citizen should have nothing to do with such things . Unfortunately a majority of gun owners including trained officers here show absolute disregard for the gun safety times and again , which strengthens anti gun environment. It is a long road ahead and we should all try our best to spread information to make people comfortable around a responsible gun owner . I am sorry if i sound cynical at times but its just how things are at the moment , also I am still not very sure about using the website , i love to read a lot here but don't post much so not very sure if I'm replying the right way , this will get better with time too as our gun culture

Re: CZ PISTOL IN INDIA
I had contacted Vinveli defence as I was thinking of purchasing a new firearm, They are very co-operative and fast in replying unlike others like webley, CMT etc.
As of now they are only launching the .45 pistol which will be announced shortly (in 2 months approx).
"MY ADVICE" : Don't make hasty decisions and start selling your current weapons in order to be in line to purchase these imported ones like me, as the launching date differs from delivery date and you may not get your hands on them immediately.
I did the same in case of CMT Glock and sold my weapon immediately and then there came the issue where the dealer stops delivery of Glock pistols due to some MHA notification and now apparently you're supposed to purchase a weapon in the time given after the sale of current weapon, and one should not possess a license without an alloted firearm or else the license get suspended, and as it is the license formalities are known to all how complicated, time taking and difficult the process it in INDIA.
