Dear Sirs,
My name is Shaan - and I just registered on this forum as I am seeking urgent help. I know that many people have faced hassled while importing airguns (.117 air pistols)- and currently my airgun is in clearance. UPS informed me that they can't clear it, and I'll need a CHA. I am a rifle club member- and the club has also helped me with the letter, but the CHA whom I spoke to told me that customs will need a reference from NRAI. Is it true? NRAI will never provide a recommendation letter to a junior shooter.
Can someone please help me with a reference of a CHA who have helped you clear the consignments? There are CHAs who specialise in restricted items. Can someone please help?
Thanks,
Shaan

Shaan,
A mention of the airport where your airgun is stuck pending clearance will get you inputs from members.

Please mention which Airgun you have ordered. Which Airport as already pointed out. Also kindly mention your current investment including shipping.

Shaan ,
Most important advise I can give is be patient .... Get a copy of arms act 2016 , there is no mandate on any letter as such .you need to be a valid member of a club..
Be patient and polite that's the mantra , don't argue, go and meet the customs officer if you can , the CHA should ideally sort it out ...
Don't give up and follow up nicely , they will release it ..btw which weapon you ordered ?
