Showed him up for what he is - a meat collector who kills mahseer for the pot and trophy sized one's at that.

HD

That’s quite an effort and a piece of work, making it look like a SWAT M 14. Honestly, it also reminded me of those beefed up Maruti 800cc “drag cars” in 80s or 90s. Take it easy and most importantly the board members discuss Guns for Sports and not WEAPONS. What was the idea behind all this, maybe puritans like us don’t get it? Is that .22 Ruger or High Standard pistol?

Dear Hamdingra,

Welcome to the forum! I see you have already met some of the others here.

If you would like some constructive criticism of your pistol, I have built a few tactical weapons and would be happy to make some suggestions as yours is somewhat, ahh, primitive to put it politely....

Is the fork meant to be used in hand to hand combat?

I had posted an item and find substrata remarks by Grumpy. I have sent him my frank remarks in return as also ended with my warm wishes. and thus before the affair slings further I decided to inform you. We all respect weapons -whence have they become lambrettas and vespa scooters with lights and mirrors fitted on them. maybe everything in England is available around the corner - maybe its beer time in England -but you all know our condition here where we have to run pillar to post for practically every bit of Gun/Rifle. In any case if you see the American assault and rapid action force - there would be little need for any "fitment" on their weapons.Maybe Grumpy can illustrate unnecessary fitments better.Pl look into the matter -Thank you
Warm Wishes...Hamdhingra
Easy there friend,

Your's is the credit for whatever effort and passion you put into your work. I give you the due. As to what you'd use that absurd(quite frankly, with nothing personal) contraption for, is beyond me and most people here. That doesn't lower you in esteem here at IFG and no one should think so. What you do with your hardware, as long as you stay within the laws of the country, is your hallowed right. That includes the right to flaunt it.
But do remember, IFG is as free as a board can get, and the includes the right of others to say what they think as long as they don't get personal. I don't think in this instance it did.

IFG has a curious sub-culture - that of constant rib tickling and dare I say, sarcastic humor. We're proud of it.

One thing you'll need at IFG is a sense of humor- with a big threshold. If you don't... well, you'll only be subjecting yourself to daily heartburn and ruffled feathers and you'll find your presence at IFG will be pointless.

Take it easy yaaar... no need to be uptight - you're only 16 posts old. Kick off you shoes, loosen your belt and enjoy the larger picture - as the days pass you'll get to know the first class gentlemen that dwell behind the outlandish avatars!

Bottom line is, most of us here are a bunch of jolly buffoons. We'd warmly welcome you joining the order!

:)

Pran you funny guy you, everyone knows the knife is what you use for combat!

The fork is helpful when there is only one pickle left in the bottom of the jar.

Couldn`t find the particular item that you refer to Dodger. Yup, kill the big females - the single most effective way of destroying fish stocks.

A lot of familiar names on the IA membership list.......and a guy called `Reg` from Barnsley - ask him about The Barnsley Blacks.

Why do I call myself `Grumpy` Hamhingra ? Because I have the sweetest nature possible - I`m a real pussycat who hasn`t a bad word for anyone.
.........either that or because it was meant to be ironic !

Nice rifle Mark......Somewhat upmarket from the Vespa Scooter MKI pistol. I note that neither firearm incorporates a laser range-finder.........a serious omission surely ? What calibre did you select - the .300 BS ?

Hi Ham..

I think CC defined this forum in perfect words.. its not always the case that everybody here will like what you think is a master piece... and this forum have a twisted sense of humour but I am sure most of the members here appreciate your effort.

So just take a deep breath and make yourself comfortable.. I am sure members here can learn something from your experience and vice versa...

Somebody obviously thought so Inder as that particular line has been removed.........except that it still appears in your comment. As for it being overboard` ? You reckon ? What would you call someone who went around killing Tigers ? NO difference. Comprendez mate ? !

Vikram, you still haven`t removed the particular quote concerned from Inders post............and you forgot to capitalise the `C` of `comprendez`.
I have no problem with you diligently editing away........although I think that you have forgotten that the forum is supposed to allow more robust `argument` nowadays and you therefore need to discuss the matter with the rest of the moderators as different standards are being applied by different moderators within the same thread. Some consistency needs to be applied.
Being a nice guy yourself does not alter the fact that killing big Mahseer makes the person concerned an anal orifice and if Inder takes exception to my saying so by using copulatory metaphors you can expect me to respond in a like manner. Perhaps the difference between the use of the `anal orifice` term and the `copulatory metaphor` are not so marked in India as here where the use of the latter is fighting talk and its use is likely to provoke a smacked ear in response.
