Advice on buying a New Pistol

Post by ashrafi1 » Mon Sep 26, 2022 6:49 pm

Dear Everybody,

I need to buy a pistol for self defense, looking for a small compact one for everyday carry.

Im very confused with the available options like ashani, sheikh arms storm and others.

Heard sheikh arms weapons there is a hamming problem.

Could you please suggest some good pistols to buy.
Your help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

You can go for the GSF Ten Shot as advised by Vineet or if you have 6-10 months of patience then there is good chance you might see the launch of some foreign brands starting booking process of their make in India collab arms.

For now you can buy second hand GSF pistol. Easily available at around 70k - 80k and just get it checked by a good gunsmith in your area specially magzine and ejector. Just buy 20 round of imported ammunition. And then you can wait for a year or two and you will be having really good and affordable option to go with for self defence and more powerfull calibers.

As advised above. I'm still not quite confident on the metallurgy and build quality of these new small time manufacturers, though I'd be happy to be proven wrong! The IOF stuff may be dated and have iffy fitting/ finish, but at least they use decent steel and hardening etc.
