Amazing weapon. Acquired it today from Luthra Gun House, Batala, Amritsar, Punjab.

Congratulations,
This Pistol has several accessories and customization options.
The price mentioned on the net for the base model is 4.05 Lakh,
The high end variant, which they have named Punisher (Marvel Comics), retails at 5.50 Lakh,
Cant authenticate this.
They seem to have even incorporated the Punisher logo (Skull).
Their website has very little details.

It's a single-action semi-automatic pistol, with a chrome-plated mirror finish inner barrel, right-hand safety pistol.

Unique Feature :

1. Moving Parts Like slides are calibrated at 50 Microns
2. Individual parts like shear are calibrated at 15 Microns
3. complete modular construction
4. despite being made in India, they have used all international brands for machining and tooling. Tolerance in plus-minus 15 micron

In comparison to the 60 years old Colt and Remington 45, this is still a better option and reasonably priced. The performance of MSD 1911 is awesome and also has a good grouping while tested at Shooting Range.

MSD pistol asking price and is selling for more than 8000 us $ in Indian markets not 4000 us $ ... while the entry of rock Island armoury whose selling price will be around 2000 us $ and with 08 and 14 round mag capacity various models and backed by lifetime warranty will surely hit the Indian markets soon as claimed by the company .... Rock Island armoury sells more than 2 lac pistol a year around 68 countries a year ... Intresting to see the competition soon....

MSD 1911 is a copy of colt 1911 ...comparing original with domestic made and a replica and copy of original colt 1911 and with a price tag of 4000 us $ as per your side is totally unjustified ....the real price tag of MSD 1911 as also mentioned in my other posts also is starting from 8000 US dollar ..sry if I am wrong at any of my point ...

I'm not sure that is a fair comparison. But would agree it is a very good option as of now. But the point is prices of old weapons are high due to other reasons like restrictions etc. MSD seems to be taking some advantage of the fact that none of the new entrants are in the Pistol (not revolver) market as of now. The ones that are there are plagued by some issues. I would watch what happens when a credible competitor arrives in the market (which seems a matter of time).

Congratulations on your new acquisition. The pistol appears to shoot well. Please do not take this as a criticism but the 45 Colt needs a two hand combat grip. That grip and stance is great for target competitive shooting with 22 rimfire and low powered centre fire target pistols but a big NO for the 45 ACP.
