I think .32 Revolvers, IOF are useless and Imported .32 revolvers are too expensive. However imported .22 Revolvers ard epitome of economy and practice is cheaper. .22 LR is a better Ctg for self defence and 1/5 price of .32

look for an imported .22 S&W revolver. preferBly St. Steel. like model 63 kit gun. Good gor many life times.

To: eljefe:

Is your wife licenced?
NO! She does not want even to attend a Rifle Club! I have a serious problem here. I cannot even think of transferring it to her!
CALIBRE – Thanks, but I have an inkling for Glock manufactured in Chennai.
Yes, for Self-defence.
Thank you, Sir!

Thanks, Gentlemen, for your kind feedback! I truly appreciate your time. Glock is now manufactured in Chennai which will also be an option. A CZ model as suggested in the post will also be considered. S&W Revolver has scored high. So, will keep it in mind. Cheers!

A Long Barrel Has Many Advantages Over Short Barreled Revolver Or Pistol ,
Personally In A Self Defense Situation , Always Concealed Carry is Preferred But If The Power Is Matter Than Long Barrel Revolver Is For Any Situation .

Oh I missed that.

Smith and Wesson model 31-1 seems your best bet.
You can also consider IOF Nishank. It has light trigger pull and price is around 1.05 lac. Thirdly you can go with Webley. Both imported and Indian are available.

But if budget is not a problem then definitely Smith.
Won't the G22 be good too? Considering it falls around 1.50 lakhs? Correct me if I'm wrong but I think its good enough.

What type of Defensive weapon you may like to Shoot to kill or to injure the the threat.
don't underestimate 22 caliber it is a very good caliber and it's ammo is budget friendly so that you can use at Shooting range also
25 /32 is also a good for protection purpose imported ammo is expensive and KF(Indian Made) is also availabe in market
357sig /357mag / 380 / 45 are mainly powerful calibers available in India very expensive both weapons and ammo Glock 380 will be available from the Chennai company but when dont know .
