Thank you Dear for your reply.
There is One more thing if someone can guide on it. I applied for new book of licence as it was torn badly. When they issued new book, they mentioned REVOLVER only. Earlier in my original book of licence it was mentioned Revolver/Pistol. Can someone suggest how to endorse pistol again so that I can purchase pistol too.
Thanks

Yes you can purchase a pistol if you already have a revolver. The law is that one person can posses two weapons.

Different rules are followed at different places. Here in North India and specially Punjab, a weapon has to be registered with district arms branch and not police station. So one should check the local laws and go ahead accordingly.

The ‘Revolver/Pistol’ on your license meant that you can buy one out of the both and you have purchased a revolver. It did not mean that you can buy both.

Now to buy a pistol, you will have to give a fresh application to the DM.

Thank you Vineet ji,
Could you please suggest what kind of application should I initiate. Will it be for change of type arms OR it will be a fresh arm licence application. Also can I apply right now or should I sell my revolver first.
Regards

Apply for addition of weapon on your current arms license. No need to sell your revolver.

After keeping Mark-1 and then Mark-3 since 2005, it's time to say goodbye to beautiful IOF Revolver. Never disappointed in terms of performance.....
