Any news or info about glock launch? It's 2022 and their website still says that they will deliver in 2021.

there are some rumour that they may start by year end. 2 months back when i had a talk with a webley india senior person, he very confidently said glock does not have license to manufacture and sell arms to civilians and it will take 2-3 years at least for it to start.
since cmtpl is not responding to any query, its all rumour for me with no hope for it in near future.

You have to understand that Glock is a competitor to Webley India. So don’t expect an honest answer from Webley India.

sir, i understand that very well. i have also mentioned in some other thread about the same person's praise of their revolver and malhotrasons' partner talking about too many issues in webley first batch. i told here what he said in what tone & words. since CMTPL is not updating the site, not answering any query on any platform, anything any other competitor said is bound to be taken as having some truth at least. i am not endorsing anything said by anyone but just mentioning it as clearly as i can remember.
btw, do you have any info or even any rumour on glock / cmtpl?

no new news from cmtpl, they don't respond to any message any where.
some rumour is that it will be available by the end of this year but i haven't found someone who can pin point from where he got that rumour.

It's almost one and half year past but no glock pistol delivered yet.
Also heard about vinveli cz venture , hope they will deliver till 2030.

This statement is correct towards the proposed factory but otherwise police in MP State is having Glocks for at least six seven years now .

imported pieces? it was reported by some news sites that during the mission, Officer Abhinandan Varthaman was carrying only a 9mm Glock 26 Compact with him.

As far as I know, a certain no of Glock and Sig etc was imported by Govt. And now with different state police and also with Army and Paramilitary bodies. For example. Glock, Sig, FN Herstal and Beretta are with Indian Armed forces and Paramilitary bodies.
Maharashtra police do have Glock and Sig
Jharkhand Police and CG police also uses Sig and Glock
MP police using Glock
Punjab police is using Glock, Beretta and All sort of well known brands from past decades
UP police higher rank officers I saw carrying Sig Pro.

But one thing is for sure that all this stuff is imported and not Made in India.

Overall I learnt a lesson not to trust any company till they actually deliver. By doing all this, cmt has just earned bad rep and nothing else. They should not have started chest thumping before making sure they can make and sell glocks in India.

true but given the covid situation and red tapism involved, imho it will be less and as we have short memory, once they start delivering and if they are really good in quality, not like others then it will be forgotten.
