Which Air Gun (Rifle) is good for a 7 yr child (PG) to develop interest in shooting as sport

Hello Everyone, Please suggest a Air Gun (Rifle) for a 7-8 yr child (Under parental guidance) for shooting and target practice so that it develop interest in shooting as sport and increase the mental concentration in the child.

Can understand you eagerness to teach your kid shooting at an early age. In my humble opinion, Indian made air rifles will be on the heavier side for such a young child. Constant practice might harm the back of such a young child. Look for imported air rifles with the weight being the most important criteria to choose an appropriate one for the child.

Take a look at SDB Air Rifles .. they have a model 23 & Junior. I think both are smooth bore, built quality should be good. Also price will be reasonable & should serve your purpose.. In 2 / 3 years when the kid grows up buy him something nice..

There are several lesser known, local makes light weight smooth bore air rifles available.. they will also serve the purpose but durability is a issue with these..

A PCP is more fun to shoot for a child that age.
Model 23 springers will be easier to handle but the cocking effort is something that you will need to consider.
