Walther vs Anschutz vs Steyr Air Rifle
Dear friends,
I wish to buy a new Air Rifle for 10m Competition.
Can anyone suggest which model or make to go for.
So far below are three which I have come accross
1- LG400 Alutec / Monotec
2 - Steyr
3 - Anschutz.
4 - ??
Majority I have seen using is LG400, any colleague who has used combination and finalize the weapon.
what factors were considered to finalize the make or model.

mumbaihurricane,
Best thing to do for you would be to test all the above as elaborately as possible and buy the one that suits you the best. All the above are known to be exceptional.

As our forum member Prabhat mentioned, if you are a part of any Rifle Club , then you can ask the club members permission to give their Rifles to you for practice a couple of shots , you need to study as to which fits and feels the best . Your comfort will help you in accuracy as well .

Friends,
Thanks a lot for responses
All my rifle club colleagues have either Walther LG400 or Hammerly.
Some of them have started to talk about Anschutz and Steyr. Hence wanted to check if any member here has ever tried all three or two so that I can get some feedback.

AFAIK they are all excellent competition air rifles . Matter of personal preference and ergonomics. One factor to consider is the said Brands presence and dealer reputation. Certain brands have decent dealer base and hence spares and maintenance are easier compared to others that are just as good but not so popular amongst Indian shooters . You can’t go wrong with any of them but do consider the fact that a popular gun will have good support and service behind it .
