Guidance for .25 bore and other old imported pistols

Post by wolverine » Mon Nov 08, 2021 8:28 am

Hello Everyone

I have recently obtained pistol/revolver licence for all India area. I have narrowed my search to .25 bore pistol since it can be easily concealed. I need guidance from all the respected and experienced members here for below points-

1 The price of .25 CZ pistol with one of the dealers here is 3 lack and that of Mab is 2 Lack. They say that price of imported weapons increase with time, and so it might.
But my close acquaintances in ADM office say that the dealers quote 3 lack price when you are purchasing, but when you resell it after few years, they come up with many flaws in the weapon, even if you have kept it intact. And they offer only 1-1.5 Lack at that time. Is this true, kindly share your experiences!

2 Which are the best .25 weapons- CZ, Colt, FN Browning, Mab, etc?

3 Any other seller with permission to sell their .25 weapon can contact me.

4 Other than smaller bore and less stopping power, which I am aware of, what are the other negative aspects of .25 pistols?

5 Any other experience anyone might like to share which can be helpful for members like me.

Thanks in advance.

Coming to your point no. 1, if dealers would have been earning two lacs rupees just by selling one weapon then why are no. of gun shops decreasing day by day in the country.

2. CZ, Colt, FN are good. Go with the one which is in best condition. CZ (model 45) are more common in India and therefore available easily. Surprisingly this model’s counterfeit pistols are also floating in the market so select your piece carefully.

4. Negative point is that smaller the size, more difficult it is to use the weapon (pistol).
