SDB Gennexpro - Ultimate Springer for Comp.Shooters
Dear all,
India & Indian products have opened up challenges to global players in national market.
Just recall 10 years back what was the situation of air arms lovers in India. They had hardly any option.
I say the global players had too good for too long.
SDB launched one of their finest AR "Gennexpro" very recently.
Guys please do not mix up with their earlier model "GenNex".
Honestly I was waiting for this AR since last 4 years because at my age.Heavy ARs I find pretty tiring.
Why I chose Gennexpro.....
Size Small/easy to maneuver - 39 inches
Light weight/less tiring - 2.8 kgs or less
Soft cocking/less tiring - 6 kgs while latching the trigger
Least noisy - Truly so , nest door neighbours will not be irritated.
World Class Trigger- Two stage , breaking predictably at 700 gms
Velocity/power ideal for most accurate shooting - 170 mtrs/sec.with H n N 7.5 gns or 5.5 to 6 fpe.
Accuracy - can deliver wonders
Versatility - Can be modified as per requiement
My left hand shakes due to nerve issue yet I can place all shots at
2 cms dia hole on my boundary wall from 12 mtrs distance.
I found that this barrels acceprt all good pellets very easily.
RWS ,Gsmith P 10 Super Impact Precipell Flat head are doing great in this barrel.
I intend to make a video for authentication of my description.
I request newbies not to be deceived by Tag/tall/fake claims & pay astronomical price for something which are inferior to Indian products in terms of performance.

SDB seems to always have something hidden under their sleeves. For past few years it has revolutionized the AR market with its non stop launch of AR's catering the different taste and requirement of their customers.

Hello Da,
Thanks for posting. Previous version GenNex is a beautiful and superior rifle. New GennexPro looks exciting. Can you explain about the safety. I assume SDB introduced safety notch near the barrel end (Butt side) . Happy Shooting All .

Dear Gunner_dh,
A person like me can not import a gun of my choice at my own will.I have to fall back on some importers/sellers to get it.
The price at times become astronomical and when it comes to parts/service those are not readily available.
I waited for Gennexpro for 4 yrs as it suits me best. Now service & parts just not any issue for me.
When it comes to accuracy , it is of different league. This AR can compete with any AR of this segment.
Thx to the manufacturer for providing me something similar to HW 30 with more versatility.

Yes it has auto safety mechanism just at rear end of action.
When one is pulling the barrel downward the trigger latches with sear.Subsequent to that one hears a soft clicking sound and notices that the safety pin pops out.Now safety is engaged.
To disengage to safety one has to press the head of the pin softly and get another faint sound. Now the AR is ready to fire. This is a purely mechanical process so it may occur that trigger has latched the sear but safety pin did not pop out , a little more pressure while cocking will enable the safety to pop out.
Earlier I never used regularly any AR with 2 stage trigger so to check the safety limit I disengaged the safety and dropped the loaded AR (no pellet) on the bed from 4 ft height both vertically & horaizontally , the AR did not fire.
Therefore I can conclude that this AR can only fire provided one pulls the trigger even if the safety is off.
Please do not try this as it is of no use.

Basu da, from what I have heard the HW30 is a very sweet shooting gun. Have you tried one before? I would love to know how the gennex compares to the HW30. I had a HW 50s but really did not like the shot cycle and the resulting 10 meter accuracy.

Re: SDB Gennexpro - Ultimate Springer for Comp.Shooters
I am thinking of buying an air rifle. I will be looking at SDB or Precihole.
If anyone has handled both SDB & Precihole how do u rate the trigger.
Does the Xena & Gennexpro share the same trigger.
How is the after sale service of SDB. For guys living in Kolkata is it possible to get service like spring change from the factory itself.

I used many SDB ARs in the past like SDB 45, Sport , Gennex & now recently I bought Gennexpro.Shivakr wrote: ↑Sun Oct 24, 2021 7:31 pmI am thinking of buying an air rifle. I will be looking at SDB or Precihole.

Gennexpro is a world class low power AR & it's trigger can match with any best trigger of the world like Diana TO6, Airarm, Quattro, HW.Gennexpro has same two stage modular trigger that Xena has.
I fired Precihole ARs but not owning it.It has single stage double pull trigger. The trigger is good but no match with Xena trigger.
SDB is by far the best in terms of service what I experienced & gathered.
But fact the products hardly require any service.
