It's an unregulated PCP, so will the tank pressure affect velocity?

Yes,the tank pressure will have an effect on the muzzle velocity,so does the hammer spring tension.Generally for a descent unregulated PCP Muzzle velocity vs Tank pressure will be a bell curve.A balance between Fill pressure, valve retaining spring and hammer spring tension will reduce the deviation in muzzle velocity between shots.Adding a regulator will fix one of these variables but adds to cost and brings added complexity to the design. In Precihole PX100 it has been done right and hence a good shot to shot consistency.Hope this helps.

There's no best pellet. It all depends on what you're shooting and how far you're shooting.

7-8gr pellets are good for short distances. 9-10gr pellets are good for longer distances but there's a heavy drop. There's no perfect pellet. It all depends on the scenario.

Also, every pellet is different. Meaning, if you zero your scope for 7gr pellet and shoot a 8gr or 9gr pellet, it will not be accurate. You have to zero your scope for every brand of pellet and gr. So it's best to stick to one pellet once you know what works for you.

Hope this helps.

Every Gun shoots differently, and has it's own favorite pellet. Simply shoot a couple of easier to source pellets readily available and check for the best group made. Whichever pellets give you the best group , you can stick to using those pellets.

I like your explanation! So, does it means less pressure in tank equals to less velocity or is reciprocal?

JSB Monster Redesigned 13.43 gr. I use them. The best for my setup. If you do not increase velocity, JSB diabolo exact heavy 10.34 gr will be the choice.
