Use of suppressor for PCPs-whether needed or not.
Hi all,
To stop/reduce the pinging or twanging sound when a PCP AR is fired, just how much will a silencer help?
Thanks!

A LOT. You will need a silencer if you are using PCP Rifle. Unless the rifle comes with a suppressor in built.

I was wondering about fixing an additional suppressor to an AR which already comes with an inbuilt suppressor.
You know, whisper quiet !

Dear
A silencer or supressors or a shroud "DO NOT REDUCE THE SOUND OF PINGER OR HAMMER Hitting valve SOUNDS "
It reduces only air blast which comes out from muzzle ..
.
FOR REDUCING PINGING SOUND U NEED TO PUT A DIPINNGER OF SOME SORTS.
ALSO it will not reduce the sound crack if u shoot pellets above sound barrier.

Hey check out the video link of mine testing different types of airguns and their sound and effectiveness of supressors.arbind wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 11:51 pmThanks !Rudransh wrote: ↑Thu Sep 02, 2021 10:40 amDear

If you already have a suppressor, then you will not require an additional suppressor. The pinging sound will be there from the mechanism working inside your PCP. A Dipinger may help to reduce the sound by a few decibels , but the gun will not be super quite. It will still make noise.

Suppressor is to reduce the muzzle blast in a PCP be it a built in shrouded barrel type or add on suppressor. Depinging is to remove that annoying noise
which comes when hammer hits the release valve and the floowing process of releasing the air . There are a few hacks for depinging on youtube. Watch them.
