Do you live in India? If so, I don't believe customs would have passed that, even though it is airsoft.

Which all are the metal parts? Is there any steel in the externals? What's the gearbox shell material? Plastic or steel gears?

Pleasantly surprised it got through customs, they might've been looking away from the scanner. Did it come fully assembled?

You should know your case is an exception. Count your lucky stars. )

Which brand? Any specific model number?
And were you charged customs duty? And mode of shipment?
