No Man..no weapons here..only have some air guns, out of those worth mentioning are only two..Diana 52 (Venom) .22 and Air Arms Pro Sport .177. I am trying to get a license for 12Bore lets see what happens..

Been out in woods a lot but not for hunting, I am lucky to grow up near wild life but right now living in a concrete jungle called Bangalore, Only hunting I've done till date is a pheasant hunt in US (search for a post titled First IFG Hunt).

You guys are lucky...

Welcome aboard. Our antelope season opens tomorrow with deer season opening Oct. 1 and elk season opens somewhere around Oct 10.

Welcome aboard to IFG.

In this neck of the woods the only seasons we have are spring,summer,autumn & winter no hunting

Glad to learn that hunting is legal in Pakistan,is it regulated are there any caps each season.

Hi Imran. You certainly talk a lot more sense than your namesake ...... who was a really good cricketer but has lost the plot somewhat nowadays !

Any info on hunting in Pakistan will be appreciated.

Really good to hear from you Guys. It gives me immense pleasure to be among you all as we share the same passion. Well, the hunting season is all set in this part of the world. The guns are ready and we all are steady. Yes friends, hunting is regulated here by the wild life department and we have to follow certain bag limits. For instance one is not allowed to shoot more then six partridges in a single outing. And so on. Off season hunts are strictly forbidden. There are many spots that are considered to be a hunters paradise but are seldom revealed to fellow hunters simply due to the fact that hunters tend to be rather discreet when it comes to sharing information with other hunters about their hunting spots and their hunting success. This of course is somewhat understandable, as one of the main keys to their hunting success is location.
Since little accurate information is passed on about specific hunting locations or success, the hunter needs an inside source that can be counted on and trusted. This source can often be found with individuals that do little or no hunting but are in areas where birds love to visit frequently. So it's always recommended to have a good rapport with such souls.

It also gives me pleasure to see you keeping the passion alive. Antelope season opens today & I have to work. Talk about frustrating. I have loaded my ammunition & the rifle is ready. I decided to use the .270 a bit this season. At least for deer & antelope. Might even use it for elk. If I don't use it for elk I will use the .375 or a .30/06.I will probably go for antelope monday.

. Hi Jo. Is it right that the intention why hunters shoot at antelope from long distance is because they can spot the peculiar markings of pronghorns, especially the bright white rump patch that according to hunters make them easy to spot. A cousin of mine who resides in the US and who also loves to hunt told me that the area Antelopes inhabit is well suited to hunting The pronghorn's vision is truly incredible,.and stalking--spotting the target from a distance and then taking advantage of terrain and wind to get close--is the cream of all hunting. I would love to plan a trip to the US and have a go at the antelope. Do let us know if you performed adequately.
