Purchased 22 Assault Rifle

I am recently moved to Canada from Delhi and purchased Image Ruger Sr22 model. Gun / Ammo are very reasonably priced here. This model cost me equilvant to Rs 40k INR. Ammo is dirt cheap at Rs 3-5/round. Will like to share experience with other 22 gun owners.

Is it a Ruger 10/22 semi auto .22 rifle with pistol grip etc?

Nice! Do post some pics. How are the gun laws in Canada? If I am not mistaken AR's and AK's have been banned??
