Re: IOF 30-06 Rifle
Hi,
I recently purchased an IOF 30-06 Rifle with a 5 round magazine.
Can someone please advise on how to get a 3 round magazine for this rifle?

Re: IOF 30-06 Rifle
The IOF 30.06 was initially introduced with a 3 Shot Magazine.
Only much later was the 5 Shot Magazine made available.
I am not sure, if the 3 Shot is currently in production.
You can try the Gun Shops, they normally have some in stock.
However the Magazine may require minor adjustments,
To fit your Rifle.

IOF factory has recently increased the price of .30-06 rifle by Rs. 12,000. Now the price is around 1,30,000 for the rifle.
Ammo is priced around Rs. 160 each.
I have one 5 shot magazine for sale.

Re: IOF 30-06 Rifle
Any one here with experience of working on the IOF 3006 bolt. Is the bolt shroud stainless steel, steel alloy or chromium plated steel? The bolt knob looks MS welded on.
Thanks

Sorry, I don't have this info but Folding Stock for an IOF Bolt Action rifle is very uncomfortable. Zero ergonomics and no cheek rest.

Re: IOF 30-06 Rifle
Hello everyone. I have recently got my NP bore rifle licence and wish to buy a good rifle soon. I checked ofb website and none of their contacts seen to work. Can anyone give me an insight about how one can purchase directly from IOF Ishapore? How to transport it to my home town Dewas, M.P. and what do's and dont's should I follow while selecting a rifle(.30-06).
I would also be thankful if you can guide me about buying from a dealer.

You will have to fill up the form from ofb website fill it and send it with your all India Licence and a demand draft to OFB ....they may also ask for you Adhar card or PAN card copy as ID
If your licence is only for the state then you would have to get a temprory travel licence attached when you go to Ishapore to collect your weapon
You will be alloted the weapon according to the waiting list........they will send you a letter or email asking you to collect the rifle after making the full payment

Why don't you buy from your local dealer and avoid all the headache like booking the rifle, getting NOC/TL, traveling etc.

Re: IOF 30-06 Rifle
There are only 2 dealers who are offering .30-06(they are not telling the make year saying it does not matter, which is not the case, new one comes with 5 round mag). Also they are asking pretty hefty amount- 1.7 lac for unmodified rifle. But yes, I am trying to contact dealers from neighbouring districts which is taking a lot of time due to Corona. I think 1.4 or 1.5 lac max is the ideal deal for IOF .30-06.
